Punk rock outfit Paper Fight have released a new live video straight from the studio to help feed those live music hunger pains. The video – the first in a series of studio sessions – see the band perfom a new unreleased track titled Burn It Down live from Unit One studios in Essex.

Merging grunge rock and early punk influences, the track shows the impressive vocal range from lead singer Dominic Benjamin, hard hitting drums from drummer Tim Rolph, epic bass lines from Scott Walker and catchy guitar licks from Guitarist Matthew Barker.  Speaking about the video, frontman Benjamin says: “We had a bunch of shows booked in for the summer which got cancelled due to COVID-19. We wanted to put something out to show people that we could actually play our instruments and also give people a type of live performance that we are all craving right now.”

The Essex-based quartet formed in early 2020 just before the pandemic took over and stopped them in their tracks. They take their influences from punk rock icons such as The Gaslight Anthem and The Menzingers to early skatepark heroes such as The Offspring.

Having recently released their first couple of tunes, Paper Fight have only just dipped their toes in the water, and have been busy during lockdown, writing, rehearsing and recording to get everything ready for when the world is ready for them. “It’s a frustrating time for everyone, especially the performing arts sector, but we are ready and hungry for the green light to get out and show people what we can do live” explains Benjamin. “In the meantime we will continue to write, record and release music.”
